Weigh In – Thursday 20th February 2014

Well, what can I say….? The statistics reflect the hard work I have put in. Not just in the gym but also in terms of my diet. I firmly believed that this week would be a mediocre loss for one specific reason… I really didnt think I had done enough work. On the other hand, I have done what was asked and more. With regards to my eating habits, despite the teeny-weeny blip on Valentines Day (this really was no  biggie) I have had a totally clean week.

Above is a British freshwater fish, a British Pike to be precise or in a completely foreign language Esox lucius …. Esox…that sounds like a pair of socks that only exist online, as for Lucius well that sounds like a character from Harry Potter, mmmm that makes the mind boggle doesn’t it?

On to the weigh in. We had a “Rallying” email this week from the trainers to get Team Cookridge together and make sure we all attended this weeks “Week 5” weigh in. When I consider my losses over the last weeks I was settling for an average figure of around the 6 or 7 pound mark. I sat patiently on my seat in the circle waiting for my name to be called. I really never remember whether its a random call or its an alphabetical list. Its more likely to be the later as I appear to be always last. My loss last week was slightly over 8lbs ( I will say half a stone because it sounds better) and anything near that would be great.

Over the last five weeks we have all become good friends and we always have a laugh and a joke throughout the weigh in. Tonight was no exception and the banter continued whilst we all took it turns to get our weekly results. I made my way to the weigh in room. Removing my shoes I gingerly stepped on the scale…… “round and round and round it goes, where will it stop nobody knows” went the tune in my head. The scale stopped on a hefty 15lb loss…. O….M…G ! That was far better than I could have expected.

Thats a whole dumbbell in a week..! Wowser. So, as the sponsorship keeps rolling in the pounds keep coming off. The current total loss as of today is 54.5 lbs which, just to give a painful comparison of what I was carrying around five weeks ago take a look below.

Now I realise that it doesn’t really demonstrate how heavy this is….but trust me, I was carrying this around with me four weeks ago, I know.  May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and your very kind sponsorship. I’m just hoping I don’t lose anymore extreme amounts, simply put I am running out of fish examples.

Thanks for reading, as always.
